German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) is an international cooperation enterprise for sustainable development with worldwide operations owned by the German Federal Government.
GTZ is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of a Program assistant to implement the “HIV/AIDS Twinning Initiative” project in frames of an agreement between German and Ukrainian Ministries of Health in Donetsk, Vinnitsa, Khmelnitskyi, Chernivtsi and Ternopil oblasts of Ukraine.
Program assistant
Overall tasks: • Providing overall technical support to program Coordinator and program Officers • Translating documents to/from English • Preparing letters to partner organizations • Assisting in preparing for meetings, workshops, visits, business trips on national level, inc. printing/copying documents, elaborating schedules, making appointments • Taking minutes during meetings and seminars • Ensuring follow-up of meetings, workshops, business trips, inc. writing qualitative reports, providing feedback, etc. • Gathering and filing information necessary for effective work of the program personnel
Qualification: • University degree in linguistics/social sciences. • From 2 years of experience in assisting positions, preferably in area of HIV/AIDS response. • Fluent Ukrainian and English – mandatory, German is an advantage. • Advanced PC/Internet user
This is a full time position that may require occasional business trips.
